Could we ask for better weather in San Francisco today.  It's 72 degrees outside.  Perfect.  We went for a great run around Lake Merced this am and then went grocery shopping for dinner tonight.  We are having Caesar Salad with turkey.  Pete made a yummy omellete breakfast for lunch.  We are always amazed on the weekend how fast our time flies.  We work out in the am's and the next thing you know its noon.  We are going to get used to retirement!  The rest of the day is dedicated to football.  49ers and St. Louis Rams had a great game today.  I was cheering for Rams since my highschool friend plays for the Rams.  They lost by one point.  Bummer.  There is a huge sand volleyball tournament downtown this weekend.  I couldnt convince Pete to go.  A girl from Miramonte, Nicole Branagh is one of the top female players.  Hope she makes it to the Olympics in 2008.  Would love to go to the Olympics.  Survivor starts Thursday.  Whoooooo!  Cant wait.

My New LexusRX 330

Pete and I finally found my dream car.  We bought a 2005 LexusRX 330.  I love it!  There is no comparison between my 1997 Toyota Tercel and my new fancy LexusRX.  Wow, I have electric windows, navigation, bluetooth, leather seats, my own temperature control.  It's just lovely.  I had my Toyota Tercel for eight years, 175,000 miles later it is now at a happy home.  I must admit when the new owner drove away with it I was a little sad.  I could park that car anywhere in San Francisco and I loved the radio system (much better then the one in my Lexus).  Now that I work in San Mateo I feel SO MUCH SAFER driving the Lexus to work.  I used to pay $25 dollars to fill up my gas tank in my Toyota and now I pay $55 to fill the Lexus.  Ouch!  But, I am safe when I drive 17 miles each way to and from work each day.  The best thing about the car is the navigation system.  I will never argue with my husband again about how to get somewhere!  This wonderful voice comes over the speaker system telling me in a gentle voice how to find my way.  I can change her voice to a he voice and any language I want!  It has been wonderful not having a car payment all these years.  Pete and I are amazed how much cards cost these days.  We had a fabulous road trip to Lake Tahoe a couple weeks ago.  The Lexus was so comfy and smooth.  I do admit I had my cashwere blanket with me and the heat turned up on my side of the car.  Maybe, in the next blog I will write about how my new boss, Jim and his coworker got a ride in the sweet Toyota Tercel cruiser!  I think that was my motivator for upgrading my car.  Thanks to my sweet husband who drove to San Jose Lexus dealership after a 15 hour day at work!  He at the dealership buying the car from 8pm to midnight.  We just got back from Arizona from Spring Training where he had a bad flu all weekend.  I was searching on autotrader and the Lexus was just listed.  I called Pete and said PRETTY PLEASE will you go buy it for me.  We had been looking at LexusRX cars for 6 months but if you didn't go down to the dealership within a week they were sold.  I love my new LexusRX.  Thanks babe!
